Creative Explosion!

Hello, readers!

This is more of a quick update than anything else, but I’m finally in a headspace for writing again and I’m so excited that I needed to share!

Since starting my new job role in the later part of last year, I’ve been a lot busier at work. This is something that I’ve been wrestling with; I never expected to progress in that job, I mostly just show up so I can support my family and pay for a house to write smut in.

Secretly though, I am passionate about certain aspects about my job, and I was offered an opportunity to have an impact in an area I really care about, so I took it. I’ve mentioned before that the role comes with longer hours, extra responsibility and a Masters level training course. As a result, my stress levels have been through the roof and my writing capabilities have been almost zero.

This weekend though, I submitted my first assignment, and it’s like my brain was suddenly freed of a massive weight. I had a clear direction for my story, and banged out 1,000 words in less than half hour. I’m now really excited about the way it’s going.

I also designed my entire kitchen remodel, new garden landscape, loft conversion and created a state-of-the-art Pokemon Zoo with Playmobil for my son. The last one was the most impressive.

What about you, dear readers? How are your ventures coming along?

Never been an issue, JCP.

Take care,

The Horror! The Sexy, Sexy Horror!

So, I’ve finally done it, I finished my sexy horror(ish) story! I say horror-ish because I don’t know if everyone would find it scary, but it’s definitely in that genre.

I did, of course, write a monster-inspired Halloween story last year, but that was a little more subtle, whereas this one is pretty on the nose.

I don’t want to give anything away, but I have to say I’m particularly invested in this one artistically speaking. It’s shorter than my other work, only around 9,000 words, and it was very much a labour of love. Usually, when I write my stories they’re based on things I have at least some experience in, and they’re written for particular audiences that I have a good understanding of.

This is none of those. Mr Strange mentioned the idea, as he’s a huge horror fan, and even suggested a structure. At first, I wasn’t sure, but as I started writing, I found myself just loving the whole story and going completely off the structure I was planning on. Much to Mr Strange’s dismay.

In truth, I’ve always liked this theme, you know, in a sexy way, but it’s not my main fantasy go-to. It’s more like a special-occasion when I’m in that-kind-of-mood-fantasy. Still, it never occurred to me to write it, but as soon as I did, I was enthralled by the idea.

The end result is that I have a story that I love and that was super exciting for me to write, but I have no idea how it will translate for readers. BSDM enthusiasts may be left bewildered, horror fans may be underwhelmed, who knows?

The story also tested my technical skills too. There are a lot of scenes that shift between reality and fantasy, and though I understand it, I’ll be interested to see if the flow from one to other will work for readers.

So, if that fantastic sales-pitch hasn’t left you itching to download my latest work, I don’t know what will! It’s called ‘Unravelled’ and it should be available on Amazon any minute now. Damned delays.

H.P Lovecraft said, ‘I fear my enthusiasm flags when real work is expected of me.’ I feel like he and I may have been kindred spirits…

Mind Over Mattress

So, I’m currently working on a story all about a woman stuck in a cabin with a huge guy. Not just big, but like, beastly if you will.

Now, we all had our princesses as girls, and I was Belle. As a child, I thought I liked talking clocks. As a teen, I realised what I actually liked, was the idea of a big, strong, slightly scary man beast.

I thought that meant that this was just my type, even my husband is very much that ‘alpha male’ body shape; tall, broad shouldered, oddly possessive of certain wings of the house. But as I’ve gotten older, that perception has started to shift a little.

As an adult, I find I’m far more aroused by mental dominance than physical dominance. The fact is, I’m 5ft 3in, not a big girl. Not even a big hobbit, for that matter. It doesn’t take much for a man to overpower me physically. (I’d like to note I have taken a few guys out with a pretty effective right hook, though.) I suppose it’s just not as impressive when a man is all muscle.

But I do consider myself to be an intelligent person, and as I’ve gotten older, I find I’m more and more turned on by mental prowess. This is a little hard to explain, luckily Mr Strange is an impressive specimen in this category too.

There are times when Mr Strange has done little more than talk to me, lowering his tone, captivating me with his piercing gaze… and convinced me that not only do I want him to fuck me, I need it. That’s what really gets me hot. When a man (or woman in my younger days) could use my own arousal against me. Could tempt my kinky side out and make me behave like the submissive slut I am deep down.

So tell me, dear readers, what is it that gets you hot and heavy: brain or brawn? Do you want to be thrown against the wall and taken? Or talked down on to your knees?

And to those of you on the other side, what’s your most effective technique? Do you throw your lover over your shoulder and carry them to bed? Or do you whisper sweet degradation and make them thank you with their undying physical devotion?

Plutarch said, ‘Remember, the mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled.’ I would argue the same could be said of other areas too.

Thanks for reading!

Charmed, I’m sure…

That’s right people, I’ve released the newest story in the Garden of Eden series; Charmed.

This story focusses on the founder of the GoE club; Evander Fort, and the judgemental journalist, Evelyn Kelley. They are brought together by the exploration of Evander’s world, with steamy results and deadly mysteries!

‘Oooooooooh!’ I hear the canned audience cry.

Honestly, I’ve loved writing all of the stories but this one has been especially close to my heart because it’s the penultimate story and it’s brining the whole series towards its end. I feel like I’m now approaching the last hurrah with a bunch of new and freaky friends who I’ve become very close to.

I do have real friends too. I swear…

It’s also been very poignant for me as Evelyn and I share a love of writing that is born from journalism. That’s right, K M Strange used to write for papers. Big ones, you ask? Well, no. I mean, I got a few bi-lines here and there but…well I write erotic fiction now, what does that tell you about my journalistic career?

It’s also been interesting because most of the characters I write are either already into some kind of kink or at least open to it. Writing a character who is as closed and resistant as Evelyn was a fun change of pace for me.

Which raises a question to you, gentle readers. What’s your perversion and when did you come into it? Were you a fully grown adult before you noticed that the feel of rubber gets you all tingly? Or were you reading vampire novels and enjoying them in ways no normal fifteen year old should, like a certain Strange author we all know and are growing to be very fond of?

While you ponder that, I’ll leave you with a particularly enjoyable quote from a well known teen fave of mine:

‘Put your seatbelt on,’ Bella cried.

Edward laughed darkly and responded, ‘you put your seatbelt on.’

‘For Christ’s sake, Strange. Put your panties back on!’ K M’s husband yelled.

Who’s your Daddy?

Mine is a very respectable and kindly warehouse operator who has always been present in my life despite separating from my Mum when I was five.

But we all know that’s not what I meant.

I’ve just finished the first draft of the third Garden of Eden story, which features a couple who indulge in the DD/lg lifestyle. And after much wrestling with the content and back stories, I can honestly say I’m delighted with it.

What surprised me about this story, was the broad range that this kink encompasses, and my struggle with choosing where to put my focus. In the end, I decided to go with the rich Daddy/bratty sub, rather than the full-on age regression kink.

I did this for several reasons, but mostly because when I write something, I feel like a have a responsibility to represent the real-life versions of my characters competently. I’ve never experienced real age play myself; nappies and dummies etc, (diapers and pacis to our state-side readers 😉 ) so I wasn’t confident I could do it justice.

I try to draw on my real life experiences where I can to make the characters and their antics as relatable as possible, and I felt better able to do that with the Avenue I decided to go down.

This was a lot of fun to write, and it was great to be tapping back into the GoE universe again. I managed to tie in the events from previous stories from new perspectives which was challenging but enjoyable. Like a hot, bratty sub I suppose.

So tell me, dear readers, who is your Daddy? Do any of you engage in this kink? I’d love to hear about your experiences!

And for all you Daddies and Mummies out there, I leave you with this parenting quote- ‘“They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them FEEL.’

In our case, fellow kinky deviants, I believe that means horny as fuck.

Take care!

One Step Closer (to the edge)

Linkin Park, anyone? What, you thought I was being filthy? Get your mind out of the gutter, people!

Now, on to the topic of today’s post: anal. That’s right, I’ve just completed my most recent short story, ‘Office Submission,’ which features an office D/s relationship, complete with my first ever depiction of anal sex.

‘So, what?’ I hear you ask, ‘you’re an erotic author/comedy genius, surely a cock-suppository is right up your…avenue.’

What an elegantly worded point, dear readers. But actually, I’ve never written such a scene before. Not because I’m adverse, far from it. It’s just never come up before, and it was a very enlightening experience. Once again, I’ve been forced to consider my own experiences in such depth (I’m genuinely not doing this on purpose) that I’m able to describe it in great detail. Reading it back, I was actually quite pleased with the description, if you read it, I’d love to know your thoughts!

The other reason this is so exciting for me, is because I’m now just one last short story away from publishing the paperback book! And that will be included as a special extra, written just as a treat for the book-readers.

In other news, I’m starting to get my head around navigating Twitter, which has been interesting. The best thing about having an account has been finding like-minded people and seeing what they’re putting out into the world. I’m loving getting to know you all!

Well, that’s all for now. Remember, when it comes to trying something new in the bedroom; ‘success is not final, failure is not fatal, it’s the courage to continue that counts.’ Winston Churchill said that. You can’t prove he wasn’t talking about sodomy.

Oh look; incest.

Got your attention, huh? I thought it might. Perverts 😏

I just finished writing my newest story – Sibling Seduction, which is about, you guessed it, sort-of incest.

Who knew this was such a popular topic? I mean, I’ve definitely fancied a few brothers in my time, they were just my friends’ older brothers. And I was their sisters’ weird friend who breathed a little too hard outside their bedroom doors.

But after writing a story based on two step-siblings exploring their passion for each other, I have to say I kind of get it now.

I’ve always been something of a brat- you tell me I can’t have something, I’ll just wait outside his bedroom door until he finds my raspy breathing adorable. And the whole step-brother/sister thing is very much is the forbidden fruit vein. The fact that my characters secretly fancied each other despite being told by their parents that it wasn’t okay, was pretty freaking hot.

My favourite thing about writing erotica has been having the opportunity to explore different kinks, and Sibling Seduction has been my biggest exploration yet.

So, if siblings are your thing, don’t waste your weekends grinding up against your friends’ brothers legs. Indulge your fantasy with my newest tale.

Alternatively, wait until they go out for the night, then steal a pair of their boxers. That works too.

Who Forgot Jessica Rabbit?

Hello all!

So, I just finished writing my newest short; Boom and Bust, and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed writing this story. Not just in the way one would hope to enjoy an erotica story, but actually because I was having fun with my characters.

I know I say this a lot, but I genuinely never know exactly how my stories are going to turn out when I start writing them. This bad boy was only supposed to be about 10,000 words, and it ended up being nearly double that!

As well as having plenty of sexy encounters, the characters all ended up getting to know each other and even themselves, forming new and powerful relationships. I mean, beyond the standard relationship between a group of drunk guys and a pair of busty girls.

I even grew attached to the group of guys I created. My focus is usually on the female protagonists but writing the banter between the boys gave me real sense of kinship with them.

However, as always writing this story has made me take a close look at myself and forced me to ask some hard questions. So here goes, deep breath…are my references outdated?! The feedback from my focus group (Mr Strange) suggested that the examples I used to help visualisation of the characters wouldn’t be recognisable today. Am I the only person in their thirties who knows Jessica Rabbit and Betty Boop?

I’m no poser, I can honestly say, hand on heart, that I have never once seen a Betty Boop cartoon. I have literally no idea what her storyline is, except her little catch phrase and the fact that she’s curvy AF. But if you said to me, ‘She looks like Betty Boop,’ I’d be all, ‘not really, she’s in colour.’

And surely EVERYONE knows Jessica Rabbit? Again, the film where she made her big screen debut was shot before I was born, but I still saw it. Didn’t everyone?

…it’s because she’s not on YouTube isn’t it? Maybe Jessica and Betty need to get a YouTube channel.

So, if like me, you’re a child of the 90’s piggybacking the prestige of 80’s media, I hope you’ll give my story a read. Otherwise, quickly google those characters so you have a point of reference, then give my story a read. Maybe also look up Bay Watch. No, not the one with Dwayne Johnson…

Bound: Garden of Eden 2

Yay! I’m so excited to say that Bound has been submitted to the editors at Amazon and should be released for purchase any day now.

Writing the second book in this series was certainly an interesting experience. The first book had roots in some of my own experiences and in some ways it almost wrote itself because of that. With Bound I had the opportunity to really get to know some of the other characters in the series and experience new things with them.

All my stories so far have had a running theme of Dominance and submission, which, as they say, is probably more telling of the author than the characters. I love exploring this particular dynamic from various angles as it’s something that I find fascinating and enjoyable. The fun thing about writing stories, however, is that I’m forced to explore whole new ideas and experiences in order to write them. My research has so far been enlightening to say the least!

In case you’ve already read the first book, Devoted, I should explain that Bound runs alongside and even slightly before (rather than after) the first one, giving a different view point on the events that occur.

If you’re now screaming at your screen- ‘No! I wanted to know more about the ending of the first one!’ Don’t panic! There are more clues in Bound to add to your theories from GOE 1.

As ever, if you do end up reading my stories, please let me know what you think! I’m always interested in what people enjoy and learning ways I can develop my writing.

Remember, live every moment to the fullest. But, when you can’t do that because you’re like, waiting for a bus or whatever, maybe read some erotica instead.

My New Boss

So, since my first story (Devoted) went up for sale and I started my new one (The Wife and the Call Girl) I’ve acquired a brand new boss – my husband.

Mr Strange has assumed the role of my editor and has very much enjoyed cracking the whip in a whole new way.

I’ve found it a very interesting experience having him being in charge of my writing. He’s been very strict in enforcing deadlines and making sure I don’t deviate from my task. None of this has been intended in any kind of sexual way, and yet…

I suppose because of our personal dynamic mixed with the content of my stories, it’s hard not get the lines blurred. I’m finding I respond *very* positively to his guidance in this area, even when I’m a little frustrated at being bossed around. I’m a creative type! We do not deal well with rules.

That said, this unprecedented development has certainly helped to keep me in the right mindset for writing. When you start writing erotica as a way of making an income, it inevitably becomes more of a job than a creative outlet. Luckily, having Mr S assert his authority while I’m working makes me feel like I’m part of my own scene, a story in a story. Ugh, I’m getting a little meta now.

I elude in my work that sub space can almost be a kind of blissful trance, where you stop thinking rationally and allow your arousal to dictate your actions. It’s a wonderful state to be in and it’s a very strange sensation to be gently teased by it in my day-to-day life. It’s definitely fuelling the erotic tone of my writing.

I may have to devise ways to explore this sensation further with Mr Strange – can this new dynamic improve my writing? And how far can I go before I’m just licking my keyboard?

In the meantime, The Wife and the Call Girl is now available on Amazon. Check it out and let me know what you think! I’d love to hear your ideas and feedback.
